…and Scarlet the blunder dog
An over-curious pooch had to be rescued by firefighters after getting its head stuck in a terracotta pot. Siberian husky Scarlet followed a pebble she was playing with into the empty pot and got her head stuck.
Firefighters rushed to her owners’ home in Church Road, Locks Heath, and managed to ease the pot off the shaken 17-month-old dog’s head. Anton Phillips, an animal rescue specialist for the fire service, said: ‘This was quite an unusual call. The owner did a great job in keeping Scarlet as calm as possible before I got there.
