For those of you following the ongoing Canine Angels saga in Georgia, here is the most recent update from author Jim Willis (Pieces of My Heart and “How Could You?”).
It’s a holiday weekend (Memorial Day in the USA) and we know many are rushing to get out of town. Please take a moment if you can and encourage your lists and address books to sign the petition for Canine Angels. The goal is at least 1,200 signatures to represent the approximate number of animals Sue & Lynnette have saved.
If you aren’t yet familiar with the State of Georgia’s efforts to shut down this wonderful effort for animals and confiscate all the animals on June 3, all the details are included in the petition. The comments that have been posted with signatures so far show how much support there is for Canine Angels’ no-kill rescue efforts.
The GA Dept. of Ag should have arrived there minutes ago for yet another of their harassments (inspections), but friends and supporters will be there, too. There has been a blitz of information to the media by Canine Angels supporters, so we hope some of them will show up, too. And some very recognizable names are on board now to help save Canine Angels. We’ll put out updates as needed.
Thank you for your participation.
We wish everyone an enjoyable and safe holiday weekend.
Jim and all the Friends of Canine Angels
