The breed you choose depends on many things: Are you willing to walk your dog everyday? Is there a place where your dog can run safely in a yard? There are many small dogs that do alright in an apartment as long as they get plenty of chances to run around outside. Other dogs can get all of their exercise indoors. What type of grooming are you willing to do? Many small dogs require at least moderate grooming. Will this bother you? Also, be aware that some companion dogs don’t do well being alone for long periods of time and may show signs of separation anxiety. So if you work outside the home, they may not be the best choice for you. There are many dogs that can live in an apartment, it’s just a matter of what your lifestyle is outside the apartment that will help you determine the breed. My advice is to determine the answers to the above answers and then go from there.
