Her first novel, Haint: A Tale of Extraterrestrial Intervention and Love Across Time and Space, combines her love of dogs and her passion for writing into a work of speculative. Joy lives in St. Louis with Weimaraners Sol and Star, Coonhound mix Annie and Beagle Beatrice.

Lynn Hirshfield has developed and produced feature films and TV shows, including the award-winning PBS series Wishbone, which stars a Jack Russell Terrier. She has co-authored two children's books with Dena Fishbein: Sassafras: The True Confessions of a Poodle Princess and Sassafras Goes to Hollywood. A portion of the proceeds from the books goes to support Much Love Animal Rescue.

Eric is a practicing veterinarian who lives and works in San Francisco. His emphasis is on small animal medicine, surgery and wellness. He is the Dogster and Catster resident veterinarian. Justin Rudd is the founder/organizer of HauteDogs.org in Long Beach, California. His dog events include some of the world's largest and most celebrated—including the Haute Dog Easter Parade and Howl'oween Parade, the Bulldog Beauty Contest, the Haute Dog Poetry Contest, pet adoption fairs and Operation Santa Paws. Justin also led the effort to establish the only off-leash dog beach in Los Angeles County and is a professional dog photographer.
