Shhhhh! Bailey thinks she is famous.......don't tell her she isn't!
He would have been Eddie, from Fraizer. Bailey was quite the little ham, and, of course, knew that he was smarter than the rest of us.
Jasmine would soooo be Bean from "the Clique Movie", a very pampered and rich dog that gets everything she wants!
Strong Heart is who I would be. Read kinship with all life by J. Allen Boone if you don't know who Strong Heart is.
I would sooooooo be Eddie from the TV show Fraizer. Relaxing on the couch, good food, walkies, what a life... hey, that IS my life! BOL
Kona will grow to be Tyson the skateboarding dog.
my dog would not want to be a tv or movie star she just wants to play :)
Old Yeller(;
Boo Boo would be want to be Astro from The Jetsons. He would run away and hide from scary situations, just like Astro. Also Astro was a rescue pup, too.
Pogo would be the Littlest Hobo, bol! Cos she's always making friends everywhere she goes!

The pup in Legally blonde
So I had a talk with Mindy about which REALISTIC TV dog does she want to be.
She told me Benji or Napoleon.
She really did! I understand her, and she understands me. It's adorable of what she does.

Bugz doesn't say much but im sure he thinks he is Clint Eastwood....just like his daddy
My Dachshund Max would be Daddy from The Dog Whisperer
Oh Puleeeze! I would be a star in my own right! I am destined to be famous!
Mr. Duffy McDuff,
I always thought you were a really cool dog and
a definite star!!!
I always thought you were a really cool dog and
a definite star!!!
DADDY
Definitely Scrappy ... Scooby's cousin!
Wrinkles would be Shiloh from the movie with the same name. Rinky is just as trusting & forgiving as the beagle Shiloh in the movie.
Definately a Toto. He's blond but a Jack Russell mix; he's tenacious yet timid!
Definately Demon from "Snow Dogs".
A cross between Lassie and Scooby-Doo. Because I am a collie, I have strong loyalty amd am protective of my human.
But I can be "Scoob!", too. Because of my "YIKES!" factor- I get frightened of some things sometimes.
Kudos to Fritz for mentioning Strongheart from "Kinship with all life, by J. Allen Boone! That's a GREAT book!

It's not a dog, but I'm kind of like Melman, the Giraffe in "Madagaster." Heh.
Harley wants to be Cujo!
Riely is a pug and as a pug he wants to know everything that is going on. He does a spin dance and will tango with me when we play '70's music. As he gazes into my eyes in the tango, I can see that adventure and romance are his forte. So I chose Toto as his alter ego name but I think any curious, loyal and cuddly canine would work....especially if he/she descends from royalty or is a pioneer descendent.
Riley is very active for about 30 minutes at a time and then sleeps for an hour or more. Even in his sleep he dreams of great and wonderful things. You can tell by the little noises he makes.

I would like to be Zip from the movie "Last of the Dogmen" He was one smart cattle dog!
Daddy, because he was such an inspiration!
Prudence would definitely be Benji because that's who everyone says she looks like.
I'm similar to Wishbone he's a great dog!

Lady from Lady & the Tramp or Elizabeth Taylor form Sex & the City ...because she's a CAVALIER KING CHARLES SPANIEL!
What an asinine question. Hey,h ow come DOGS aren't answering it? Maybe because dogs are too stupid to be able to read and write, let alone fathom the question in the first place.
'Fur baby"? Someone said their dog is a "fur baby". Give me a break. You sappy ignorant fool. Dogs are nothing but lobotomized wolves.
The border collie from Babe. (I don't recall the dog's name)
To the person who thinks dogs are stupid and "are nothing but lobotomized wolves" , why are you on a website dedicated to dogs and the people who love them? I guess that would make you the "ignorant fool"
I would so definitely be UnderDog and FiFiGiGi would be Sweet Polly Purebred... hmmmm, maybe we should be thinking of that for next Halloween!
Hear, hear, Duchess!! Thanks.
Sadie, the Border Collie (s) from "Babe" were Rex and Fly. Fly was the B.C. that was a "mom" to Babe the sheep-pig!

I would love to be Astro from the Jetsons!!
Honey would DEFINETELY be Winn Dixie! She even LOOKS like a female Winn Dixie from that wonderful movie that was out a few years ago. She has the happy-go-lucky temperment and affectionate nature like that dog along with the almost spooky ability to see right into your soul and KNOW you. She is a lover, through and through. Out of all the dogs that I have ever had in my lifetime, she is the jewel in the crown.
Not a famous dog, a famous person. She's more of a person anyway! And it would have to be J-LO. She's got the attitude and the butt :)
My dog wood be daddy the pitbull(cesar millans dog) R.I.P
Charlie wood be daddy the pitbull (cesar millans dog) RIP
I marked Other cause you forgot about Dog Whisperer's SIdekick Daddy..R.I.P Good Boy! Any other Choice would have either been Lassie or Scooby doo
This just goes to show who is answering these polls. Lassie in SECOND PLACE over a animated cartoon character! We collies will protest!
Yep, I agree with Tamara, you need to add Cesar Millan's wonderful Daddy (who has crossed the Rainbow Bridge recently) to this list. He's a role model for all dogs, but especially for the misunderstood PitBull breed.
Since Smitty is a Cairn Terrier, there is no doubt that he would be "Toto"! The dog I dreamed I would have since I was a young girl! Smitty is devoted, loving, caring, happy and would help to lead me to the "Wizard" if I needed help to go home!
Well my name is Rin...(but not after Rin Tin Tin)..I fancy myself as Demon from Snow Dogs!
Well, Lassie, of course, can't you see the resemblance?
I am tired of taking the rap for Diablo from Beverly Hills Chihuahua
I am tired of taking the rap for Diablo from Beverly Hills Chihuahua
Rocky would either want to be Asta from the Thin Man movies or Eddie on Frasier.
I did enjoy Lassie very much when I was growing up. I even taught my Irish Terrier how to respond to this question: "What does Lassie say?" And, he would bark!
Snoopy.
Or Underdog.
Well If I were top make a guess I would say the Floyd, my GSD would like to be Scooby Doo, although, that could be my preference. Though I think he’d go more for Jerry Lee, from the K9 Movies or Joe, from the 70’s TV show, Run Joe Run.
Well, Candy is a female so none of those will work. Besides they would all be special dogs, if only they could be like her. So, Candy will stick to being her. She, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I mean how motorcycle riding 5 pound Pomeranian's, that wear goggles, and a helmet w/o taking them off do you know of.LOL
I just got Charles from the shelter three weeks ago. Because we like to be different, we're gonna go with Underdog The Wonderdog. You know, because he just got out of the shelter, and with mine, and his new sis Candy's help he is going to be a Wonderdog. He'll be a 14 pound Pomeranian riding a motorcycle in no time. I don't know if he'll keep the goggles, and helmet on though. No helmet though, no riding for the pooches.
While we're at it, I thought Dogster didn't allow rude, and degrading comments. So, could you please take the one by the guy calling us stupid. I don't know why people that don't like dogs bother to come to places like this, but whatever. I guess some people can only feel good by trying to make themselves feel superior to others, and their calling us stupid.BOL

Shelby would definitely be Lassie! Everywhere we go, that is what people call her.
To the person who called us "stupid", all I can say is -- I feel sorry for you. I believe Shelby, and all dogs, are God's special gifts to us. If you would take the time to be around one long enough, you would see that. Shelby has made me happier than I've ever been in my life. She brings joy, smiles and love to everyone who meets her.

Jack would be "Asta", but "Toto" would be OK too. Jack is a cross between a Yorkie and a Bichon Frise. He is a very clever, handsome and charasmatic young man. Jack dreams of competing one day in agility trials and becoming famous. Even the Salem, the cat, is quite taken by Jack and they spend hours playing, sleeping, eating and pooping together. We love you Jack.
Petey from The Little Rascals would be Bellas hero! He was good with the kids , played hard and kept everyone out of trouble the best he could! Good little pitty!
Darnit! That's a good Jan J. I forgot all about Petey. He was a great guy. I wonder how many people know he was Pit Bull, they used to be so popular. It's so sad, they used to be so respected. People Like Vick, and the media have made it difficult for the breed. Which reminds me, I know this is off topic, but I just can't resist after Jane brought up Petey. For those people that think PETA is for the ethical treatment of animals. I want you to know that Ingrid Newkirk(President of PETA) wrote a letter calling for the ban of all Pit Bulls. Stating that "Some dogs are weapons, ban them". So, although I had donated money to PETA in the past, I will surely never do it again. I wish I would've found out about the letter sooner, which is why I brought it up here. Matter of fact I think Dogster should put it out on the for the love of dogs blog, don't you? Again, sorry for going off topic. Please forgive me. If you would like to see the letter, they have a copy of it on Mikes Dog House Rescue website, which is a Pit Bull rescue.
I already look like Lassie!
Peta is a bunch of do gooders that have gone astray. I think they started out on a good note but as in their policy on pitbulls they are just wrong on some issues. Who are they to say what kind of dog you can own? The person on the end of a dogs leash is whats important! Dogs are dogs,,,they are all wonderful in their own way. I have 6 rescue pit bulls in my family . They all get along. They like my horses, they like my barn cats and they like other dogs that are friendly to them. People should get along as well as most dogs! Sorry Peta, I think you have gone over the edge. No support from me!
I completely agree 100% with everything Jane J. just said. Thanks Jane J., for reminding me of Petey. I would have a Pit Bull myself, but I live in an apartment complex. They allow them, it's just that I broke my neck a few years ago, and I am not sure that I would have the energy level, for a Pittie. Although, I think they seem to be very adaptable to the situation of apartment living. It's the fact, that I live on Social Security. Social Security checks just don't go very far, especially when trying to feed yourself, and a larger breed dog. This is why I have tiny dogs, I can better afford the food bill, and the health care, which of course should be a top priority.
When Pit Bulls enjoyed being the nation's most popular dog during the W.W.I era, there were no problems with vicious Pit Bull attacks. Pit Bulls were not banned anywhere.
America's first war dog was a Pit Bull named Stubby who earned several medals and the rank of sergeant for his service in W.W.I. He received a hero's welcome and was even honored at the White House. He inspired the U.S. Military K-9 Corps. He also went on to become Georgetown University's mascot.

Jack would be Toto. He already resembles him and is just as lively and smart.
Eddie from Frasier, even though they aren't the same breed. They are both small, full of mischief & have endless amounts of energy.
Daddy ----where's Daddy in this poll?
Cedar would definitely be in the heap piled on the bed, in the book, "The Napping House,"
Maggie, the Lounge Lizzard Lurcher, would be star of her own Soap, "All my Sofas."
My two Yorkies would be Toto.
Daddy is my hero! He is gone now but he has helped so many dogs and people. Jr. is replacing him on Dog Whisper ...I think he is really handsome and blue like me!
Junior is really handsome! I think Daddy taught him well too. He will be a star and a great helping paw to Cesar! I wish there were more dog tv, I like watching all the dogs! Sometimes when one is barking really hard, I get confused and rush to the door to check what is going on. My mom laughs at me, but you can never be too careful.
Gots to be Scooby Doo!!
Our Tuffy would be TOTO from The Wizard of OZ.
Our Chachie would be The Taco Bell Dog & our Ginny would be a small version of beautiful Lassie because of her love, cuddles and kisses!
Our Chachie would be The Taco Bell Dog & our Ginny would be a small version of beautiful Lassie because of her love, cuddles and kisses!
Mocha would be Toto. Brave against anything and anyone. Lili would be Lady from Lady and the Tramp.
"Questo" would love to be Pongo (101 Dalmations), because he lives with two female Dalmations, and he is in love with anything spotted! He doesn't understand that Portugese Podengos don't have spots.
Devon thinks she's a one and only, and has no desire to be any other dog than her self. She says she's just perfect. (I think I have to agree with her.)
.
Finally!! Devon, I was starting to wonder if I was going to be the only one that chose myself.BOL
Candy
Candy
Rinny - DEFINITELY!!
Gus would like to be the Hound of the Baskervilles.
We have a mixture of a small schaunzer/greyhound. His name is Buddy. He fits his name and like Lassie he is a caregiver. He know when you are sick and he will lay next to you all day. He is also a protector. His very protective of kids. He is very loveable..
Why Bruiser from Legally Blonde of course!!!
If I could be a famous dog from TV, I'd love to be Daddy, Cesar Millan's right-hand top dog!
Hi, Angel. What a great tribute to a great dog. When my mum heard that Daddy died in Feb, she cried and cried. Niji and I were glad we could be there for her.
Yes, it was a sad day. I am sure, that the Milan family was devastated, and my heart goes out them. What a wonderful Ambassador for the Pit Bull breed Daddy is. Junior has some big paws to fill, but with Cesar's help I am sure he will do fine.
Mine would be scrappy doo. she thinks shes so tuff.
I WOULD CHOOSE BIG DADDY
SCOOBY DOO I HATE HIM
Some of our dogs are already famous! Our retriever shot "Cybermutt" with Judd Nelson and did several print ads before he passed away.
Our middle girl Fable is a model for a line of designer leather collars, leashes, beds and muzzles.
Our middle girl Fable is a model for a line of designer leather collars, leashes, beds and muzzles.
Monster is just like Scooby Doo, but I want to be just like my name's sake......bat hound/dog!
Coco P. I just wanted to let you know, in case it wasn't a typo. Scrappy Doo, is Scooby Doo's Nephew. So, he's a boy, not a girl.
" * Born: 1979

* Best Known As: Puppy nephew to the cartoon dog Scooby-Doo
Persistent puppy Scrappy-Doo was a late addition to the cast of the popular Saturday morning cartoon series Scooby-Doo. Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? premiered in 1969 and remained on the air in various incarnations through the 1970s. In 1979 The Scooby and Scrappy-Doo Show introduced Scrappy-Doo, a tiny Great Dane pup who was the nephew of show's star. In theory, Scrappy was supposed to be daring and headstrong where Scooby was comically nervous and lily-livered. In practice, many viewers were annoyed by Scrappy and his signature yelp of "Puppy power!", and Scrappy became the character fans loved to hate.
Scrappy-Doo was voiced by actor Lenny Weinrib and later by Don Messick (who also voiced Scooby)... As with literary whale Moby-Dick, Scrappy-Doo's name is officially hyphenated but more commonly spelled without the hyphen."

Underdog (cuz Luke went from sickly bag of bones to big handsome dog) or Benji (cuz he's cute and loyal to his friends)!
Maggie would be the road runner. Beep Beep!
Old Yeller! :)
Maximillian definitely is more like "Snoopy"! He's smart, funny and loves to do tricks on people! He also
loves to do tricks to show off! He's a super ham for
