Wolves do it. So do apes, monkeys, goats, ravens, and even tortoises. But according to Science Magazine, dogs are a major fail at something some other animals excel in: following someone's gaze. The report notes that other animals are adept at following a human's gaze to the point of being able to go around a low wall to see what the person was looking at. But dogs don't even bother to look in the direction you're looking in when you see something in the distance.
