OKThis vet came highly recommended, so I brought my dog in for a second opinion. He spent a lot of time with us, okayed the diet my vet had recommended, but suggested I not give her milk thistle since we didn't know what it would do to dogs. He also told me she wouldn't live very long. She was just three at the time. Well, as it turns out, the diet she was on caused her to lose most of her hair and muscle tone. I soon sought a third opinion, and was given much different advice, including a radical change in her diet, and the addition of milk thistle (apparently there were lots of studies on the subject). She is now 12, still active and looks like a million bucks. |
