2 Paws up for Hillside!
Sketcher went into Hillside after chewing up a large roll of fiberglass insulation and stopped eating altogether. I explained to the vet who was caring for him that while I obviously wanted him treated, I was also in a great deal of financial trouble. She was very understanding, and not only gave me discounts for his xrays and exam, but also provided us with 2 cans of free prescription food and wrote out prescriptions for inexpensive heartworm preventative for both of my dogs. I've dealt with the same vet throughout the ordeal (with only one exception so far). After xrays determined that insulation may not be what was keeping him from eating, he was quickly diagnosed with a bacterial infection called "Leptospirosis" and was treated promptly with antibiotics and given fluids. He's received excellent care, the vet has taken time to sit down and explain everything to me thoroughly, even when she was terribly busy. The receptionists were always very kind and caring, and didn't mind my constant calls and visits to check on my pup. They've also worked with me so I can make payments towards my bill, since my financial situation is such a hardship. Sketcher is still being treated, but he seems to be doing better. I highly recommed this vet clinic for anyone and everyone with a pet! It's ths best you could ask for. The office and exam rooms are spotless, and everything is clean, neat, and orderly. Dr. Baker is so compassionate and understanding, and it was a real blessing that she understood my situation.
I really love this place! The people here are so nice to me- and they don't even care if I lick their faces! They give me yummy treats while they weigh me, and know just how to scratch behind my ear. Not only do I like the people- my mom does too. I've been here a few times after getting myself into some trouble, and they've always been incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and caring. You're in good hands at Hillside!
Great Vets and Facility
Scratchy got really sick because his urinary track was blocked. He was in the hospital for 4 days! They took really good care of him and called me with updates. I was able to call or visit whenever they were open. Their business hours are extremely convenient for us working folks. Their facility is really clean and well kept. the staff is very nice and takes time when explaining things. Scratchy was also boarded there once and I was surprised at how affordable it was. Definitely recommended.
