“Mill Creek is a huge park that covers almost every side of Mahoning County, Ohio. It's got gorgeous scenery, century-old log cabins, and beautiful paths full of interesting wild animal smells for your doggie to sniff up during a long walk in the park.”

Mill Creek Park is huge, with *lots* of trails and roads for walks; it's probably the largest area in several cities and suburbs where people can be outdoors on public property with a dog. There's a pretty high amount of traffic, depending on the time of day, and forget going to the rose garden in wedding season! It's gorgeous, but photographers literally fight over the best photo spots. Try the goldfish pond or the waterfalls instead. BYOB(ags) please, and for dogs sake, keep 'em leashed! At least three 4 lane roads or major highways cut through the park (224, Mahoning Ave., 62), so it's not safe to let a dog run loose, even if he/she has perfect recall. You never know when one of Mill Creek's infamous deer (or a raccoon or a bike rider) will prove to be more interesting than your dog can resist.

Dog parks

It is just so very hard for my mommy to keep me on a leash in the park as I love to run after wild animals like the small ones too. We need to find a fenced in park so I as well as my brothers can run free. But Mill Creek Park is just beautiful and I do believe it is one of the largest inner city parks. Chelsea, Zack & Buster
