Agree Whole Heartedly

The animal shelter is across from where we used to live. Mom would go and donate her time to take care of walking and loving pups. Then one day mom found out about the animal shelter from a neighbor that not only do they gas the animals but they also would gas them in mass. It is sad and terribly inhumane. We also had a friend whose dog was picked up by the animal shelter and because he was a senior dog and deemed “un-adoptable” they put him down without any attempt to wait for any owner to have shown up. At that point mom grew disgruntled and never went back to help out. When mom and dad got me, they micro chipped me and never ever let me go off leash since I am a darter. If looking for a no kill shelter Lake Norman Animal Rescue is the best bet…. But don’t get a dog without thinking this is forever . Coco

This place was really hard to find when mommy went here once to pick up an irish setter for rescue. She was very upset to find out that not only is this a kill shelter, but they still gas animals to kill them. How horrible is that! It was also very small, and scarey looking.
