“This large piece of wilderness (over 450 acres) offers miles of trails for hiking and jogging. One of the main trails circumscribes Lake Roland, which was once one of the city's main reservoirs. Other trails reach back into densely forested areas, some taking you over scenic footbridges and others through small tunnels. The park is a popular destination for dog walkers, and the less rugged trails are often crowded. Otherwise, it's a great urban escape.”

Awesome park for Dogs of all sizes!Though it isn't technically a "Dog Park", very few people visit without a furry friend. A dirt and stone walking path circles the entire park, with water on 3 sides. This park has lots of grassy areas, and a pavilion with picnic tables for our humans. There is a nice "beach" are where dogs can swim and socialize, and you will always find another dog or two (or10) there. There are trashcans throughout the park and other dog owners are kind enough to tie extra "poop bags" on the fence at the entrance. It's our favorite place to go in the Falls Rd area. |
