Aracelis is wonderful :)

Mommy and Daddy hired Aracelis to take care of us during their honeymoon, when I was undergoing at-home treatment for renal insufficiency (prior to this, they just had friends or relatives take care of us). When Aracelis came to my house for the initial consultation, I - who usually feared and avoided most strangers - came to her immediately. That's how Mommy knew she was the right sitter. Aracelis was an animal keeper at Disney's Animal Kingdom, and she truly has a way with us. Her husband told Mommy she used to know before anyone else when an animal there was sick. I suddenly got sick on New Years' Eve, two days before they were to leave. I was well enough to come home from the emergency clinic New Years' Day, but I had to be taken to my regular vet first thing Momday morning, after Mommy and Daddy would be gone. This meant that Mommy had to call Aracelis - on New Year's Day- to ask her to do this. She hated to bother her on a holiday, but Aracelis was very patient and understanding. On the third day of the cruise, I got sicker again and died at the veterinary hospital. Aracelis and our contact person (Mommy's brother) decided it would be best to call and let them know, leaving a message on their in-cabin phone. Returning the call Mommy found that Aracelis was out to dinner, but she stepped away from her table to talk to her and offer condolences. She handled a very difficult situation with great sensitivity and kindness. It's hard to have someone you don't know in your house while you're gone, but Mommy and Daddy have found Aracelis to be completely trustworthy and very professional. She's been at the house many times to take care of my sisters since then, and there have never been any problems - only happy kitties :)
