“Cafe serving fresh, local, mostly organic, and humanely raised food. Makes and serves gluten-free breads, pizza crusts, pastas etc onsite in dedicated facility.”
Great healthy food!Farmer's Kitchen Cafe has a handful of tables and chairs with one umbrella on a large sidewalk on 4th street. You don't feel crowded on this sidewalk! The food is excellent-- actually, beyond excellent! The bioregional salad is the best salad on earth, and their portobello mushroom sandwich is awesome. They make gluten free bread, pasta, cookies, pizza crust, bagels, foccacia bread etc on site in a dedicated gluten-free facility. If you request, they do have some regular bread that you can get your sandwich on if you don't want the gluten free. Most items are also caesin free, and the owner is very cool about catering to people with food allergies. The only drawback is that you have to wait a very long time for your food to arrive once you order. So we usually look at the menu ahead of time (it's on their website) and call to place our order so that it's ready 20 minutes later when we get there. Make sure to check out the really free range eggs while you're there, and they have loads of items including ravioli in the freezer case that you can take home to cook later. Yum! |
