“Ahh...Carmel-by-the-Sea... This lovely restaurant has its very own Dog Pound Patio where the Oak Tree Patio is! A special doggie menu is available to go along with the people menu. Oh, and there's even a gorgeous outdoor fireplace. What ambience...”

Loved the ambience of The Forge

Oh, now this is the life! I was up in the Monterey area with mama & daddy and thought, "I wanna go someplace different." So, we ended up here, at The Forge. Talk about a WONDERFUL location! I was undergoing chemo so my hair had been falling out and I was a bit on the chilly side. We got to sit right next to this awesome-pawsome fireplace and I was kept nice and toasty. I had my roasted veggies and the pawrents loved their lunches...I definitely give The Forge Four Paws UP!

Yummy food and nice atmosphere

I went to this restaurant during our trip through the States. We sat outside (obviously) near the fire pit which created a cosy atmosphere. Mommy loved her Caesar Salad and I got lots of yummy treats as well. I would give the place five paws if there was a little more room around the tables (it was a tad bit cramped).

The Forge is my kind of place!

We went to The Forge for dinner last night after tasting some of their appetizers at the information center when we arrived in Carmel. We were greeted with open arms (and lots of hugs). The seating for the pups is on the lower patio, but the decor is nice with a fire pit and a bit of whimsy on the side of the building. The human food was tasty with incredibly large portions. I highly recommend this restaurant!
