Veterinarians & Specialists
Dr Littlejohn is one of the best!!!!!!!!My dads have been bringing their puppies to Dr. David Littlejohn since the early 1980's, when their dog Arachnae had a wound which just wouldn't heal ( her previous owner sewed up a leg wound himself after she was hit by a car) Rac needed special attention and care, and Dr. Littlejohn helped them take care of her, always taking time to explain what needed to be done and being sure our dads understood. Our dads have taken all of their puppies since then to O'Neal Animal Hosptal. Rac, the German Short-haired Pointer lived to be almost 14 years old, until she died from cancer. Athena, a yellow lab, developed leg problems (crucuia ligament )when she was three, and Dr. Littlejohn refered her to a specialist who took excellent care of her. Athena lived to be almost 10, when pancreatic cancer developed quickly and undetected. Dr. Littlejohn refered her then to the Penn Vet Hospital, but there was nothing they could do. They were also very caring and compassionate. Dr. Littlejohn's office event sent a sympathy card. Then there was Nikolia, a Schnoodle, who lived past 15, and who eventually just died from old age. And Lady, a Greyhound, our dads took her in when her dad died. Lady lived to be 11, pretty old for a Greyhound. Dr Littlejohn has also taken care of all the cats our dad's have given a home to, and they've all lived pretty long lives. When I was just 8 months old, I developed hip dysplasia. Dr. Liitllejohn told my dads to minimize my ruffhousing with other puppies, and to start giving me Glucosamine twice a day, and you know what, it really helped. Now that I'm older,I can still run and play fetch, and chase the cats. They people who work for Dr. Littlejohn are really special too! Annie has worked there a long time. She gave our dads a really good recomendation to the NJ Puppy Rescue People so we could get Papagan. And Pete who works they gives the best puppy baths. Everybody there loves puppies and kittys. They're really grrrreat! Papagana says so too!! |
Hate to do it...I hate to be negative, but this was our vet for the first couple years of Meridian's life and I really wish we had looked elsewhere after the first visit. This was back in the late 90's, and I can only hope that the practice has improved, but I don't have much hope. That's all I'll say here, but if anyone wants more, please message me. |
