Watch Ammo the Dachshund Paint with His Paws

With his cute face and abstract paintings, super-cool Ammo is the new It Dog of the art world.

Don’t let his size fool you — Ammo the Dachshund possesses some pretty big talent! Not only is Ammo an assistant shopkeeper at his human’s frame store and one half of a dog-and-pony show (hint: He’s the dog half) and one of Animal Planet’s cutest dogs, he’s also a celebrated artist. Whew! Ammo is quite an established pup.

Ammo’s artistic abilities were discovered last year, when, inspired by his Painting Pony pals, Ammo took up a paintbrush of his own. Okay, he doesn’t actually use brushes; his work is a lot more tactile than that. His medium of choice is the challenging watercolor, which he brushes across the canvas with his paws. His paintings have been sold all over the world, with portions of the proceeds benefiting animal-oriented charities.

He also doesn’t mind sharing his technique.

But Ammo, as his name implies, doesn’t stop there. He’s also a certified therapy dog and recognized canine good citizen. And he also has a penchant for dressing up and posing for photo ops — he’s a canine celebrity with a heart of gold.

And we’re glad for it because we just can’t get enough of Ammo. He’s stylish, talented, and kindhearted. Check out his website and Facebook for more Ammo.
