OMD. This will make your Monday. Check out the brand-new “White Knuckles” video by the group OK Go. It just premiered on the Ellen Degeneres Show this morning less than an hour ago, so you’ll be one of the first to see it. It looks like they did this in a single take. Am I missing something? How did they do this?! Absolutely amazing and rather epic.

The message at the end rocks as much as the video. And gotta love those props from IKEA. (We have a couple of those items in our house. Jake feels rather hip now.)

Update: Check out this fun New York Magazine article about how this fantastic video came to be. (And can you find the goat? I thought it was a yellow Lab until one of our great Dogster commenters called our attention to the goat…)

Update 2: We just heard from Dogster dogs Dazzle and Peanut that they were in this video! Wow, we have stars among us! Check out their blog for a fun behind-the-scenes look at the making of this video. What a tremendous amount of work went into it. The crew trained for weeks, and filmed for four days. And they actually got more than one perfect take! Many more. Here’s what they wrote:

“Out of 124 total takes we successfully made it through the entire routine, start to finish, 30 times. It was almost like a dream. We had actually done it. And more than once! 12 dogs, 4 band members, 2 furniture movers, 12 trainers, and 1 goat repeatedly hitting their marks for three and half consecutive minutes. We were each so caught up in our roles during the runs that taking a step back and actually looking at what we had just accomplished was somewhat mind blowing.”

Applause — a standing ovation! — for these fantastic dogs and this phenomenal video!
