Hurrah! The state of Ohio has taken a tough stance on torturing and killing animals. A law passed in July, 2008 enacted tougher penalties for people who engage in this depraved behavior.
People who behave sadistically towards animals often move on to abuse humans.
An article in the Cincinnati Enquirer discussed a case in which a man killed a co-worker’s two cats. The man (surprise!) “has a history of terrorizing women and killing or injuring their pets, according to court records.”
His sentence: 12 years.
Let’s hope the law also creates tough penalties for the deranged psychopaths who wrap cats in duct tape.
