We know the mother's not, and there's two unknown fathers. (14 puppies... so we think two fathers). The only thing she's missing is the ridge. Is there any other breed anyone can detect?

She does look like a Ridgeback, and in the picture it looks like theres a dark line down her back- perhaps the remnants of what could have been a ridge.

Although, for a year old to only be 26-50lbs, that IS on the small side but I guess that depends on what the mother was!

But as far as I can tell from that one dark picture, she at least looks like a ridgeback!!

You could always go to Petco and get a DNA test kit. One swab of your dogs cheeck and send it off to the labs (or they can swab in store). And you will find out! I think the basic test which tests 50 most popular breeds (Ridgebacks included) is like $60-$70? And the more expensive test, tests from over 100 popular breeds is like $120. You should do it! Its great to know what breeds ar ein your dog so you can determine behavioral traits and what might motivate them. For instance if you have a terrier mix, they may be more fiesty than other mixes.
