Sanka The ground is my- newspaper.     Barked: Sat May 18, '13 8:24pm PST  Puppies! Hoping to get a big puppy fix tomorrow. It's "Dog Day Afternoon" tomorrow at the park. Pretty much every dog related vendor and then some will be out there. Only problem is, I spent all my cash today at the garage sales. Looks like I'll have to pay a visit to Mr. ATM tomorrow. Bought a clock for 50 cents, a nice set of dishes/bowls/cups for $9, and the big one was a glass top table and 4 chairs for $70. Told myself $60 was my top dollar, but you can barely get a chair for that much, let alone a whole set. Still needs some pads for the seats, but that's not big thing. Sweet swag Nicky! I hope it made him happier since those pesky squirrels were around. Don't have any squirrels at the house currently, but the ones at the dog park seem to enjoy taunting the dogs. They'll come most of the way down the trunk and seemingly curse the dogs out. Hey Turner! Glad you enjoyed your vacay! I've always thought about getting a possible memorial-type tattoo, but I just have a hard time trusting somebody to permanently mark my body. You never know if they'll fit. I totally wasn't a "prom girl." I kind of regret not going in high school, but I hated every bit of the junior high ones that I was just negative about it all. And I don't like dresses. I do love a few days of dressing up. Makes you feel really good about yourself. The pups are from a sad case that got a lot of media attention here. They're being care for by a rescue I'd love to foster for. Article on them. ETA: Toto, I can't call myself a hippie, but I do love the outdoors, and I will definitely have a garden. I find I eat more veggies when I put effort into growing them myself. Sanka The ground is my- newspaper.     Barked: Fri May 17, '13 4:06pm PST  M&K, hopefully you resolve the headache issues. That is no fun. The best thing for me is always a cool rag on the forehead and a dark, quiet place to sleep. Too bad that's not always available. I've been getting bad headaches in the afternoon lately. I attribute it to looking at a computer most of the day at work, so I've been doing more deliveries to help with that. Although, obviously, my headaches aren't migraines! I've had 2 migraines in my entire life, and I was sure I was either going to pass out from the pain or about to call 911 because nothing was working to alleviate it. Speaking of deliveries, I made one today out on the middle of nowhere. Some goats were right next to the place, so I had to stop and say hello to them. Most huddled in the shade, but one billy was quite funny. He came over to check me out and then tried to impress me by rolling around in his food trough. Then there was a tiny baby goat that was just having the time of his life jumping on top of all the other goats. Goats are so fun! Jewel, the pyr won't take any treats? I've watched a few livestock guardian breeds, and although they weren't "aggressive" they weren't really all that into me either. But showing up with a handful of biscuits was enough to bribe my way in. I have a friend doing a 365 project. It's not of her dog, but of things she encounters while walking her dog. It seems pretty fun, but I know I'll forget a few days, and it'll just ruin it for me. Going garage sale picking tomorrow morning. Hoping to pick up some cheap things for the house. I am so lucky to have my grandma and my great grandma. Grandma loves buying items at bargains and decorating, so she's been going to all sorts of sales and buying stuff for me lol. I'm her excuse to spend money. Never asked her or told her to buy me anything, but she just shows up with stuff and plops it in my arms. We poke fun at great grams and call her a hoarder. Her house is fine, just don't look in the closets. She had a spare refrigerator that she's giving to me. She has 2 whole refrigerators she's storing in her garage and basement. They're not plugged in or anything. Why she has them, I don't know, but I get a free fridge out of it, so I don't care. Sanka The ground is my- newspaper.     Barked: Tue May 14, '13 8:18pm PST  Yeah, just realized I probably won't be able to get a wood burning stove. The house is so old that one stray ember would probably instantly ignite the whole house. Plus, I am quite sure my grandfather wouldn't approve. He's very serious when it comes to fire. Also didn't realize how expensive they are! Tyler, hoping to move in June. Current renters are scheduled to move out June 1st, but I'm quite confident lots of cleaning and home improvements will need to be done before being able to completely move in. Congrats on another win for Missy! Saw this picture the other day and thought of Missy. Toto, awesome advice. I do get Verizon cell service out there. They said they put up a tower about a mile away. Can't really figure out much as most of the people living out there aren't really up to speed on what internet is. Great advice though. I'll look into that. Hit 90 degrees today. Something like a 50-degree jump in temp. Yeah, not good for the dogs. So, we stayed home....and I tortured them with a bath. Muahahaha. They act like it's so bad, but I know they enjoy cooling off. Apparently, a long time ago, they used coal in the basement to heat it, but it can't be used anymore...not that I'd want to either. If there was more room, maybe a small wood burning stove would work. Eh, I've kind of hit that mark where I'm just crazy about moving, but can't do anything. Can't even look for furniture as I haven't been able to go inside yet. Two more weeks! To those who use propane, do you buy like a bulk amount at one time of the year? Do you do monthly payments or pay all up front? My new house is propane, and I'm not really familiar with it. Also having an issue trying to find an internet provider. Nobody can find my house. But, from my experience, a lot of electric fence owners either turn off the collar or just set it to tone after a bit, and that's when the dogs "escape all the time."
