Fromm has good grain free foods and has never had a recall. Horizon is also very good. We rotate between Fromm formulas and Horizon Legacy and Horizon's Amicus.

My dogs seem to do well on Fromm and Horizon foods. I feed mostly Horizon Legacy, Horizon Amicus, and Fromm 4 Star Nutritionals. They love the Fromm Duck and Sweet Potato. Horizon also makes a less expensive grain free food called Pulsar. My dogs do fine on that too. We don't feed the salmon formulas though because one of my dogs doesn't do well on foods with high amounts of salmon.

We rotate foods, some grain free and some with some grains. We don't have any problems do that. My dogs never really did well on ANY food made by Diamond though. It always gave them horrific gas! I stay away from ALL foods made by Diamond. A lot of dogs do well on TOTW though. Good luck with whatever you choose.

Fromm is a great food and a great company. Another good company that makes good foods is Horizon. I rotate between the Horizon Legacy, Horizon's Amicus, and Fromm 4-Star formulas.

Another food you might look into that is also made by Horizon is their Pulsar line. It is a single protein source grain free food. You might also consider NutriSource. They also have some affordable grain free formulas.

There are several all life stages foods. You could feed Horizon's foods. Nature's Variety Prairie is a good all life stages food too. We have feed that to our last 2 puppies and fed it to our adult dogs too. They all did well on it. Also Fromm is a great food and I believe their 4-star formulas are also all life stages. We currently rotate between Fromm and Horizon.

I know that Nutrisource has some lower protein grain free foods. They have their Nutrisource Heartland Select (I think there may be other formulas too) that is around 24-25% protein and they have PureVita grain free foods that are also around that protein range.

Healthwise is another fairly inexpensive food that includes grains. You can also try Pulsar (by Horizon) or Hi-Tek Naturals for low cost grain free. A couple other brands to look into are NutriSource and Precise.

There is another Canadian company that uses locally sourced ingredients, and to my knowledge doesn't use anything sourced from China. The company is Horizon. We have had pretty good luck with their Horizon Legacy foods and have also used their Pulsar foods a couple times. I like to rotate and usually rotate between Horizon and Fromm. I have been considering trying Acana too and may add it to our rotation.
