The squirrels trying to beautify their house.
I hate the squirrels. They will clean the feeder out in one night. Haven't seen them yet this year. I like the chipmunk though.
Saw the first hummingbird today, Just passing through though.

I have water for the bathrooms but I need to get some stored for drinking. Would really like to put a hand pump in.
We're supposed to get storms starting Monday which will take the fire danger down for a little while. Thing is it's very sandy here and can be windy. Dries out pretty quickly. | | | | |

waterfalls
In this video they show a one lane bridge. One of our favorite spots the we have found.

It's not a huge waterfall but it's a waterfall one of only three on the lower peninsula.
If you want to see if you can find more than I could you could try keywords like, Mesick, Manistee national forrest, manistee river.
On one thing it says what used to be the waterfalls so I'm not sure what that means.
"From Mesick -
Travel south on M-37 for 4.5 miles.
Turn right and travel west on 26 Mile Rd. for 3 miles.
At the fork veer right.
Turn right and travel north on FR 5993 until you pass Seaton Creek Campground.
At the dam turn left onto the seasonal road for .6 miles.
Turn right and drive to the gate.
There is limited parking at the gate. From the gate visitors will need to walk until they reach the Manistee River. Follow the trail to the left, past camping spot #4. Go over the 3 walking bridges. At the third walking bridge you will find what used to be the waterfalls. " | | | | |

Living in the woods just makes the fire danger that much more scary. Never really had to pay attention to it before. | | | | |
