Sumo Lady's Man     Barked: Sun Jun 2, '13 9:31am PST  Sumo can make anyone (human or K9) love him. However, if he is in my lap and another dog approaches he turns into Damian. If he's on the ground...happy and playful...VERY social. But he will resource guard me to his death if he is in my lap (not with people...just other K9's). Sumo Lady's Man     Barked: Tue May 14, '13 9:50pm PST  Great question Gunner. I used to say I would NEVER have a Toy Poodle. Never say never. Sumo changed my mind. He was in such bad shape when we rescued him...I just knew we couldn't leave him where he was at so I told him we would get him better and find him a good home. Once he was well...his personality was so loving, quiet, and just plain happy. He crawled up in the crease of my armpit...laid his head on my shoulder and gave me a kiss That was it. I fell in love with the little guy and his huge capacity to love and trust again. Jewel and Jem's play in the video made me laugh. It does take time for everyone to settle into the new addition in any pack. Sumo Lady's Man     Barked: Sun Mar 24, '13 9:30am PST  Easter egg hunts for dogs are fun. Our Agility group has a Spring/Easter party and the dogs get to search for plastic eggs with dog treats inside. One of the members in our group has 5 acres totally fenced in and that's where we have the party. Of course the people bring pot luck and human goodies too. We play Agility relay games and take pictures of us all in rabbit ears or Easter bonnets...including our dogs Sumo always looks like an old crum-ungen in the pic with his Easter hat on. I really used to enjoy the dog sitting thing at other peoples house...but I may have to resort to having folks bring their critters here...which some of my "clients" do anyway. My Massage Therapist is out of commission too She has bi=lateral rotator cuff impingement And hers is causing nerves to go numb in her hands. I feel for her...one shoulder impingement is enough for me. I guess I need to think about researching a backup Massage Therapist.
