1. What can you afford? (Realisitically)
2. Breed/personality. Different breeds require different time commitments
3. Space.
4. Ability to keep the animals and your living conditions very clean
5. Equal time and loving for each pup
6. The ability to realize that if it gets to the point where you can no longer handle the amount you already have, be able to rehome them and not become a hoarder.
With this in mind, my Mom only has me. She would love more dogs, but knows that her comitment and finacial resposibilities can only handle me. Did I tell you I am an extremely spoiled single child?  |  |  | |  |
