Just take it a day at a time. There is no route map.. no schedule.
It doesn't matter when it was.. it will still catch up to you at times.
It doesn't get "easier" .. It becomes "different" That is how we can then start to go forward.
Its a place most of here have been... and its a place people on this site understand.
Remember this though.... love doesn't die... memories don't die.. our loved one may leave us physically.. but they are in our heart and soul always...
Paw prints on the heart NEVER... EVER ... fade.
So... grieve as you must.. but remember the most important thing
CELEBRATE the LIFE.
Death hath no dominion over Joy and Love.

I also want to add.. sometimes there are NO signs.
My beloved Cleo was shiney.. "fit and healthy" not a single sign of any ill health....
She then collasped..and 24 hrs later I had to make the decision with the vet to let her go to the Bridge..
They had found lung cancer.
No warnings.. nothing.
Please.. dont 2nd guess yourself... love your girl.. make the time left a party and give her the last gift of love and smile as you hold her close as she passes when that day comes.
Chemo often isnt the answer...

Take your time to grieve... there is no "right or wrong"... just be as you need to be.
But please... remember the wonderful times.... Celebrate Prada's life... and death can have no dominion.
