Flea and tick collars don't really work all that well. I have seen dogs and cats wearing them and they get ticks anyway. Topicals from the vet, like Frontline, Advantage, Certifect, etc are best.

She's definitely way too young to make a solid guess on what she's mixed with. All I see is a really cute puppy!

Heartguard for heartworm preventative and K9 Advantix II for flea/tick. Have never had a problem with either.

Ophelia: That's a good idea in theory, but unfortunately it's very common for one member of the household to choose a dog, and then return the dog (or cat) due to other members of the house not liking it. frown

It's also good to make sure the entire household's on board, preferably with everyone being able to visit the shelter together, so it can be a "family decision" and so that you find a dog that's compatible with everyone in the household. smile

Thank you for rescuing! hug

edit - oh and once you pick your dog, we'd love to see him/her cloud 9

Posted in a similar thread for a similar dog, but your dog also reminds me of a kelpie, cattle dog, or heeler type mix. Her features don't really scream Rottie or GSD to me.

I don't know why but his picture reminds me a little of one of those big white guardian breeds (Pyr, Kuvasz, Maremma, etc).

He could be some kind of cattle dog, kelpie, or heeler mix. He seems a bit on the small side to be a Shepherd or Rottie IMO.

Dutch Sheps are pretty uncommon. I'd agree with feist and/or cur mix, as those are pretty common in the south US.
