I think some raw feeders don't focus on non-secreting organs (as they count as meat) - I know at first it was too much for me to take it all in, so I didn't do things like heart, tripe, and the like.

But I think they're an important part of the diet too. You've been feeding raw long enough to be able to adjust the amounts of these other organs and see how your dogs do! smile

Just because it's blood, I'd talk to a vet about it. If it's just on the outside, it could be an irritation on the anus, but still.

Guest, you'll get a better response if you start a new thread, maybe in Food & Nutrition.

OP, I agree with the others. I'm hoping you find a way to get your sweet pup to the vet without breaking the bank too much.

Just keep an eye on him so you can prevent him from marking. No reason to get credit card happy if you can be watchful! smile

Oh, it hasn't been posted in a while!

So it may or may not be one of my goals to get an elk ribcage.

And a camera.

And my dogs.

Miss loves Wheel of Fortune, because it makes the doorbell sound.

For a while, every time there'd be a doorbell sound on TV, I'd ask, "Who is it?" and Miss would bark.

For the heck of it, I said "who is it?" after a phone rang on TV.

She went to the door and barked.

And that is how I taught my dog to go bark at the door.

FWIW, they love the Secretariat segments on the Craig Ferguson show.

Oh no, OP - try not to let the guilt get you too much, okay?

If you'd acted differently, would your sweet pup still be with you? Maybe, maybe not.

Remember him for who he was, and love him always. No dog can ever replace another loved dog in our hearts.

I am so sorry for your loss.

Both my dogs are microchipped. I registered them with Together Tag, which allows me to put stuff on the internet (e.g. "Microchipped with HomeAgain") so if the dogs are found and the URLs on their ID tags are accessed, the person will have information.

And accidents do happen. Dogs get loose.

Hmm. Maybe Miss will howl at me if I wall squat. big grin

I agitated Miss into barking and clicked it. She was clicker savvy enough at the time to just get it.

Batman doesn't know the cue yet, but he does know that sometimes Miss gets rewarded for barking, so maybe if he barks enough, he'll get food.
