The biggest lakie I have ever seen was 23 pounds. The breeder was going to show him bu he was just too tall. My lakies are right on at 14-15 lbs. for females and 16-17 for the males. Most lakies do not reach their proper adult weight until 2 years of age.

He may just be having a growth spurt and slow down.

those dogs should be put down. If you value human life less than a dog then there is definitely something wrong. I love my pets dearly but that is just ridiculous to feel sorry for the dogs.

if your lineage is from great britain most likely you will remain black.
if 3 or 4 generations united states I would say blue.
color is hard to predict in lakelands and can change until much later in life.
If he is pure black no gray I would say black
if the undercoat has a grayish hue i would say he very likely will be a blue.
You will know by 18 months the true color if you strip his coat and if he is clipped you may never be certain.

I agree live in southern california and have been attacked and jumped on twice. My puppy would have been eaten if my sweater didn't taste so good. Both owners told me don't worry they are friendly. Isn't that what everyone says about their dog when they attack? Stupid people out there . They can't control their dogs on a leash. Why do they think they can control them with it off?
