Alice, could you make wings for a cat?
One of our cats, Pearl, went to the Bridge on Oct. 1. We have asked over in the A Team group but I think the wing maker there is having some computer problems or something.

Pearl didn't have many pictures but the very last one might work best.

Thank you so much, in advance.

Rescue, Adoption & Happy Endings > Would he bond with us?

He's been here two nights and he is totally fitting in. The other dogs and even the cats have accepted him.
He's eating well and taking treats. He allows me to brush him. I can even touch his hips and back feet that were So injured.
I think it is harder on the foster mom to let him go, than Tommy to blend into a new family. We have talked both days and I am to call her tomorrow to let her know how things are going.
I sure hope I don't have to keep in daily touch after we sign the adoption papers. confused

Thanks so much for your help!applause

Thank you so much for your help.
We went back for my hubby to meet Tommy. I took along a small toy and some treats. He was Much friendlier when he found out I came bearing gifts. laugh out loud The foster mom felt better too about him bonding with us when I told her of your responses. applause

I am going to bring him over to meet my other dogs and for a sleepover. Hopefully he will be able to ease into our family.

I met an adoptable Cairn Terrier yesterday. He was hit by a car before Christmas and had to spend the holidays in the local Animal shelter. He had numerous breaks in his pelvic bone and had surgery on both hips. He is now recuperating in his foster home. The foster mom hand fed him while he was in the shelter. He couldn't move. He just languished on the wet, concrete floor for two weeks before the shelter would release him to the local rescue group.
Needless to say, he has Really bonded with the foster mom. He didn't seem to like me. frown I'm a nice person. They had an Aussie that liked me and they said she never likes anyone.
My husband will be able to meet the dog tomorrow. And I can have the foster mom bring him over to meet our other dogs.

My main concern is would he bond with me? Foster mom told of friends visiting their home. The dog liked most of them, one other lady, he didn't like.
I was able to sit with him on the couch and pet and scratch him but he would always go to the foster mom for his main loving.

I would love to add him to our family but if he is standoffish and doesn't feel at home, that would make me sad.

Do you think he would come around when the foster mom isn't near?

Not sure about the choice of normal puppy or large breed.
I haven't done any research on the choices.

A German Shepherd/Australian Kelpie mix is coming for a trial run tomorrow.
I just realized he will need puppy food! I haven't fed a puppy in over 4 years.

What is a good dry food that I can pick up at Petco or Petsmart?

Thanks for your help. smile
