for Rio - CYSTS BE GONE!!

Barked: Wed Nov 5, '08 4:00pm PST
I have to say goodbye to my boy on Monday. I'm lucky in the fact that he's moving away, not going to the Bridge. My husband and I are splitting up and get one dog each - but as he's moving to the east coast, it's very unlikely that I'll ever see Vincent again.

So, I won't be posting under his name - I think I'll leave his page up though. I just wanted you guys to know why you won't see him.

I'll be back next week - if anyone would like to give me any advice on helping Rosie through this, it'd be welcome. She has separation anxiety from V, this is going to be tough on her. I'm taking her to work Monday (not a permanent solution as it's a bit on the illegal side) and have a playdate scheduled after that. I figure, keep her busy and tired, right?

Samantha, you can use plain water in a spray bottle to cut the static, no need for chemicals.

You can get a grate to keep the dogs out of the front seat or use seatbelts in the back. But I have to agree, GSDs and clean cars will never happenlaugh out loudlaugh out loud

Just google "low income spay" for your area - most have a few good lists. I vaguely remember doing that and finding spay options, I think it was for you. But I can't for the life of me remember which thread....you could also try looking at your posting history to see if you can figure it out.

German Shepherd > Finding a Good GSD breeder

Oh, one thing to think about. Working lines with Schutzhund backgrounds are specifically bred to have stable, unflappable personalities. A big plus in a family dog - but the downside is that they also tend to need more exercise that showlines. That's a sweeping generalization of course!

Maybe Disney should have a Beanie Baby or a potted geranium as their next hero.

I'd start by contacting your local branch of the GSD Club of America.

From there, you want to research pedigrees - I'd be happy to help if you have specific breeders to look at. Basically you're looking for generations of titled and health tested dogs - I can check that out for you too. I'm a pedigree geek LOL!
