Mei Li (RIP) Cuddle Monster     Barked: Sat Apr 14, '12 2:57am PST  Mei Li is my first Shih Tzu I've always considered myself a male dog person... yet the first dog I got after I got married (my previous dog was a rescued female Pekingese) was a female Pit Bull... and then we adopted a 6 year old male White German Shepherd. He died of cancer 8 months after we adopted him. My husband got a male Miniature Poodle (Bruce) from a friend. Then a week later, we got Mei Li! It figures that after a lifetime of believing that I liked male dogs better, that my dogs are both female. Puppy Place > TWO puppies!

Mei Li (RIP) Cuddle Monster     Barked: Sat Mar 31, '12 12:44am PST  It's hard work, I won't lie! So far, the pups really aren't all that bonded to each other. Bruce is very (And I mean VERY) independent, prefers my husband, and loves to just play by himself. Mei Li is very affectionate with me, my 7 year old daughter, and would rather lay in my arms rather than interact with the two other dogs. It would probably be more difficult if they were more alike in temperament, but we got really lucky. I wouldn't have sought out another puppy this fast, but like I said... she really had no other place to go and still remain in the family. Training is going really well. Both puppies have mastered "sit", and Bruce also knows "Shake" "Beso" (Kiss) and "tummy" which is just him rolling over for a belly rub Mei Li has also started "Shake" and "Beso" but she mostly just wants to cuddle, haha. It's going to be an interesting ride, that's for sure... but mostly I'm on my posts | my page | msg me | my family's posts | gift me | become pals [notify]
