i was just grasping at straws to see why he might be doing it.

Right now...there are no kibble dogs in my house.
My 3 boys are raw...and just last week i switched the bf's husky to raw.

i have no idea why this is going on...he's balanced..gets his organs..bones..boneless...you name it.

sooo....for the past few days...a new issue has surfaced.

never before has duke ever shown interest in poo.
he'd sniff it after it came out of him and he'd walk away....thank god.

now....hes munching on the poo. doesnt matter if its his, or anyones elses...

why is this in a raw forum?
could this sudden poo eating be cause of maybe raw food not being digested and him finding it and eating it?
i have no idea why all of a sudden he would just start.

does anyone else have this nasty problem???

Wow...that video...just sat with me very very wrong.

The lady has obviously known about the "common" pet diets...

About omnivores....when you see a documentary about wolves and other animals that dont need people, do you see them in a corn field? Do you see them in a strawberry farm....nooo....

Maybe this lady was not educated towards raw, so perhaps shes speaking about only what she knows...which is very limited.

Raw Food Diet > Why do YOU feed raw??

Why do i feed raw???

Because it gave me Sam back.

No word of a lie...
While Sam was on kibble, he wouldnt walk, jump..play...nothing.
He had knee surgery 4 years ago and this past year he was going through some tough times.
To go for walks with the others (lab, chessie, and husky)...he had to be pulled in a wagon cause he couldnt walk. When he wanted to go potty, id pick him up and put him down on the ground...he'd do it and id pick him up and put him pack in his wagon.
Sam was miserable. He'd lay on the couch shaking and panting cause he hurt so bad...the arthritis was eating him.

thats when Kelley ( Nallah), told me about raw...
I was iffy about switching because sam does have a sensitive stomach..so i did half and half for a while...and eventually made a full switch.

Sam is now 3 months into raw.. He can run, play, jump and be Sam again.
Raw has given him back the ability to enjoy life and not just lay around miserable.
If we didn't find raw, i dont know what would have happened to Sam.

So..i chose raw for health reasons for everyone...
Sam has mobility again....
Tucker and Duke have finally stopped scratching and losing fur.

Everyone is in amazing condition...Sam used to have brown teeth...not any more.

Thanks everyone smile

Makes me feel so much better that other pups that are missing teeth can do it too!!

I just didnt know if his teeth would affect the way he eats, or if i'd have to go back to dreaded kibble *shudder*

Thankfully...i dont and wont!

Sam does eat the bones....on his drumstick, he will eat the bones till it gets to the knuckle part...then he lets his brothers finish it off.

Raw Food Diet > Sam has lost teeth...what do i feed now??

Tonight, sam was chewing on his pork ribs...and i was holding the bones so he could rip the meat off..as usual.

This time i noticed he's missing a bottom and a top front tooth. He's a shih tzu, 16 lbs.

He has had chicken drumsticks and loves them....he usually crunches those with his back teeth...and whatever he usually doesnt finish...tuck and duke come by to clean up.

But now that he has lost teeth, what kinds of meats can i give him?
Should i give him chicken wings instead of drumsticks??
He does get meaty meals...he get tripe, sometimes tuna...he gets a mix..not all at once lol.

So for the fur parents who have lil dogs....what do u feed?? and how do i make sure he doesnt loose more teeth?
