I remembered the ear cropping debate discussed here a while ago and found this article. I just wanted to share.

Please tell me you are joking about the Ol Roy? That is possibly the WORST excuse for food ever made.

Here are the ingredients in Ol Roy:

Ground yellow corn, soybean meal, ground whole wheat, corn syrup, poultry fat, Meat and bone meal (Animal Fat Preserved with BHA and Citric Acid), Chicken by-product Meal, Rice, Animal Digest, Salt, Calcium Carbonate, Potassium Chloride, Choline Chloride, Ferrous Sulfate, Zinc Oxide, Vitamin D and E Supplement, Niacin, Copper Sulafate, Manganous Oxide, Vitamin A Supplement, Calcium Pantothenate, Biotin, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Thiamine Mononitrate, Meadione Sodium Bisulfite Complex Source of Vitamin K, Calcium Iodate, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Riboflavin Supplement, Cobalt Carbonate, Folic Acid, Sodium Selenite, Folic Acid

This is a corn based food (your dog is a carnivore and should be eating MEAT) and contains carcinogenic preservatives (BHA) and unnamed animals (Animal Fat) and very likely contains euthanized animals.

PLEASE check out dogfoodanalysis.com and look for a food rated at LEAST 4 stars.

Have you had her checked for a microchip? She could have a family out there looking for her, and all it takes it a quick (free) 2 second scan at the vets to find out.

Is Caddy double-coated? If so, DO NOT shave. This blog explains why: http://flyinfur.wordpress.com/2010/03/26/shaving-a-double-coat/

Raw Food Diet > Fosters?

Given that she is a Pittie, she will definitely be a long term foster.

My husband thinks we should just feed her raw regardless of what the adopters are going to feed and just do our best to educate them. I think I would feel way too guilty if we fed her kibble.
