We love teckelklub. They make wonderful fleecy sweaters (the Fuzzy) and great raincosts that can be worn over. They are designed for Doxies and long dogs and are the best Ive had for our little girl. She loves them (not so much, other sweaters). They are still a little skimpy over the tummy area which can really use a warm covering on a cold day.

NEVER hita dog. A friend of mine did that once and even a light smack to a small dog can cause internal injuries. It did in her case and the dog died after a couple thousand dollars of emergency surgery. NEVER, EVER hit a dog. Learn to take care of your dog or deliver it to a rescure where someone will properly care for him/her. A dog is like having a baby.

Go with a harness. There are a number of great brands and have a few. The Puppia holds up very well and is nice and soft. Harnesses are best for Doxies. We also like teckelklub raincoats and sweaters to keep ours warm in foul weather.
