|Evening all. Father got me some ricola cough drops this afternoon, so I've been taking them and they're helping some. Here's to hoping I'll be better by Christmas.
Flicka, I don't even think he planned for her to have his baby. It's just one of those things that happened. In any case, I think you may be on to something. After all, he was the one who found me and offered to be my friend and maybe more (his exact words), and being the nice and friendly person I am, I said sure thing. We exchanged phone numbers within a day of pmailing, and he even tried to send me pictures, but that was no use to me as I couldn't see them. He said he was a cop, told me about some of the things he did in his job, so I thought he had a bit of class. He loved pets as much as I do, and he owned a rottie named Buddy and brought him to work sometimes. I thought what's not to like, so I continued talking to him for a couple weeks. He kept complementing me to no end and saying how he couldn't wait for us to be together, etc. Then he did a disappearing act for several weeks and I could not reach him by phone or pmail. I finally left him a message last week and told him I was concerned and to please get in touch with me ASAP, and the next day he pmailed me and told me not to call him anymore because I was getting him in trouble, and he didn't give any explanation whatsoever. For the rest of the week he didn't reply to any of my pmails. Finally on Monday my mother went out for the day, and so I thought What a perfect opportunity to give him a call. I'm at home, so he won't recognize the number, and since I'm sick, he won't recognize my voice, so I thought what do I have to lose. I gave him a call, it rang a few times and went to voice mail, then he called me back a few seconds later and asked if somebody had called him from this number, and I said is this Dewey, and he said yes, and I said hey it's Victoria in the most cheerful voice I could muster in my physical state, and he hung up as soon as I said my name. He then pmailed me later in the afternoon and dropped the bomb. So yeah, that's pretty much the Dewey story.
Sanka, thanks for taking in that sweet kitty. I am sure he was abandoned. Cats aren't born clawless after all.
Izzie, the cats probably want you to consider their fur as part of the decor.
Lily, nice to meet you.
