Thank you, I did speak to them about an ultrasound and was told a specialist would have to be called in and the price would be around 300 dollars, which due to my research is standard pricing. If she continues to gain weight, which she has gained about a pound and a half, then I will bring her in for an ultrasound. My concern is she may need a c-section because she is normally 7 pounds and right now is at 8.5 pounds. I don't want to lose her or cause the puppies to die due to not having the proper vet care.

Okay, well I am unsure of what the belly would look like. I have done hours of research and people say first time mom's don't get big bellies or bellies don't show until they are 8-9 weeks pregnant. I am just confused!

Hello all,

I rescued a small yorkie mixed dog from a local rescue in FL where I live. When I got her they provided me with vaccination records and proof of a negative HW testing. I assumed she was spayed but I guess I was wrong!!!

I brought her to the dog park in January (on the 17th to the best of my memory) and a bunch of male dogs came for her. Everyone at the park was yelling at me and saying she was in heat, I had no idea!! She had long hair and I never seen any blood. One male dog got on her but did not tie, I am guessing there was penetration because she cried. I left and went home and realized she was in heat after looking at her bits.

I am on a waiting list to have her spayed at our local SPCA for a low cost. I had her shaved down 2 weeks ago due to the summer approaching. I noticed when I got her home her nipples are swollen and so is her vagina. The mammary glands underneath the nipples are too.

She doesn't really have a belly but sort of does, some slight bloating. She has been clingy and all over me lately but maybe it's my imagination since I am worried she may be pregnant. I called the vet and was told she would be about 5 weeks pregnant now and I have to wait 2 weeks before they can do an x-ray. I asked about blood work and was told due to her small size the blood test may not be accurate.

I have noted she is eating more and peeing a lot too. I am not sure if this is a false pregnancy or what. I don't know if a dog can get pregnant if they mate for only a minute - even less. I am seeking help because I am confused. I contacted the rescue upset and they told me they don't have the funds to fix all of the rescues????? I asked why they didn't tell me this and they claimed it was on her petfinder page but I never saw that on there.

So what do you all think? I have photos I am trying to post.
