By topshelf kibble I meant Orijen Fromm4star Evo etc. etc.. Right now Milo eats kibble or Addiction rehydrated and I have been looking for something less calorie dense since Milo is pudgy and this looked like a nice alternative but sometimes looks can be deceiving so I held off on buying it until I checked in here since there are so many foodies with dog nutrition knowledge. The packaging and pretty food seen through the clear container looked a bit gimicky and too good to be true, but I'll definately be buying some now. Thank you guys! cheer

I saw this at the store today and was very tempted but since I've never heard of it I decided to see what the foodies think of it first.

Chachi used it every month of his life because his first vet told us about it but any vet I've been to since doesn't really push it like they do Heartguard. Our current vet is a bit more natural and she doesn't even carry it, she says it's too strong but she suggests giving only half a heartguard tab a month which I won't do because I'm scared of heartworms and I'm not sure the medicine is evenly dispersed in the tab.

Milo and Prim are both in tiny dog agility and they LOVE it, they go bonkers when they know we are going to class. I think any dog can enjoy it!

ETA to say you should do regular agility if you are especially agile too!

I know Lilith wave You would know more about that too, I don't know anything about incidence comparison since I don't know a significant number of either, nor have I read literature; that was solely one pap I'm close to, in fact I only know two papillons and one thing they both have in common is great energy and a huge love of barking, not in an aggresive or fearful way but in a I love barking way, it's part of their joie de vivre

I babysit for a Papillon from a great breeder and she has a liver shunt and a luxating patella that occasionally causes her to walk on 3 legs until her mom pops it back in (she is still very active). You can see a video of her and Milo playing:

One of my chis came from a pomeranian rescue and they had great potty trained healthy poms fostered in loving homes as well as special cases which I wouldn't recommend starting out with. I would recommend any special needs dog later on though if you desire! I suggest starting with just one dog and revisiting the idea of a second dog in a year. Between a a pap or a pom you should look at both and maybe one rescue dog will just tug at your heart and decide your first breed for you. They are both such beautiful breeds. I LOVE the pap I sit for like my own dogs, they just steal your heart. You seem well informed and I bet you will be happy with your choice.

I did recently hear something about littermates possibly having aggression issues later on (in comparison to non-littermates)
due to a natural inherint pattern to prevent inbreeding. If that is what you were referring to I don't know anything about that or if I even got that description right, sorry. It's a non-issue here laugh out loud

Lily laugh out loud big laugh Bruno is a cutey pie and would make a great entertainer, I'm pretty sure Milo would like to apply for that job too thinking
The only thing all the four chis I've had have had in common is sun worshipping. How can I train that out of them? thinking Just kidding!!
