Well my correlation between career and dog is pretty straightforward. I am a preschool teacher in grad school for psychology. All day I care for little people that cannot speak for themselves; in turn we all try to do our best to translate and offer solutions for little guys trying to navigate an adult world. Being with Sierra is similar, we don't always speak the same language, but social behavior and emotive reactions help me understand her and be a better parent.

I've had people say no in response to that question before and it's no biggie. I would much rather someone be honest than get into a potentially ugly situation. If saying no keeps their dog and my dog safe, I respect that.

We do lots of kissing. All day long. Kisses, kisses, kisses! kissing
We kiss her and she kisses back. Sometimes if you aren't careful Sierra will surprise you with a french kiss (ick). If you laugh while she's licking you, she just goes to town and covers your whole face in love. It may be gross but she's mine so I love it.

No worries, so adding water on top of the dry is a more optimal way to feed it? (Sorry if this doesn't fit in with the topic OP!)

You guys are making me nervous. I'm still new to feeding premium quality food and I thought Evo Red Meat was good. Is the high protein always bad? Sierra gets about 3 twenty minute walks per day and we probably spend 1-1.5 hours playing at night. She's all muscle except for a little tummy fat that is a healthy amount (just enough to pinch between my fingers). I thought that if they use a lot of energy and actively use their muscles throughout the day that high protein was good?

ETA: For some reason I meant to put up the unsure emoticon, but the cheerleader came up, whoops!

Yep, they told us she was Rott/GSD (which she's not, as she's only 45lbs, but beside the point). She looked exactly like a rottweiler as a baby then one day we woke up and her ears were standing straight up. Then a few months later she got really lanky. I doubt she has any Rottie in her at all. shrug

Sierra is 45lbs and she gets max 2 cups, sometimes she even stops herself at one cup. Yes, our poops are...not liquidy, but a little squishier than before.

How about Sierra? I think I know what she may be, kinda curious to see if our guesses match up. smile

Thanks Sedona, I'll check out those links (while I'm at work today shh)

Baron, that's exactly what it looks like. Maybe they made a mistake at the plant? It says large bites on the bag and the Rottie (dog they use for front of the large bites bags) is on the packaging. But it looks like it could very well be the small bites.

I called the store and they had no knowledge of it being different. I'm okay with it being the small bites; the lady at the store said they are exactly the same, just for smaller mouths. She still eats it up and no weird poops, so hopefully that's what happened.

Sierra used to get car sick every time! And of course she would want to be close to me when she didn't feel well; so as I'm driving she would vomit in my lap. Awesome.

Okay, so if you can, before then, take mini drives every day. We did about ten minutes before dinner time to get her used to the stop and go and motion of the car. Of course we threw a party every time we got in and did lots of positive reinforcement while in the car. This built up her tolerance. Also I have used ginger snaps too to help calm her stomach, one about twenty minutes before we head out and another along the way (depending on how far we're going). Letting her stick her head out the window really helps her, so try and see if there are little techniques that may help. Good luck!
