No medical problems, unless they find something that we don't know about!
That's funny, I use that too - "Thank You" - when she's barked in response to some kind of noise or whatever has grabbed her attention. I appreciate the notice, but it's ok now!
P.S.
Clearly our dogs are like-minded in the stomach region - FOOD! Which just made me think that I was maybe asleep on the job by not having treats or a toy to distract her...?
Today I went to the vet to have some pre-op blood work done on Lona, she's going in next week to get spayed. The thing is, when we went in to the office today she started barking and WOULD NOT STOP. I kept shushing her, quick sharp tugs on her leash, telling her ENOUGH!, but nothing was working...she totally turned a deaf ear to me. She didn't stop until they came to take her back to have her work done.
She'll talk, and certainly she gets mouthy sometimes, but I've never had her totally ignore me. I have always been able to get her to stop and quiet down.
And oddly, last night, I went to pet her after I had given her a bone, and she snapped and bit and growled at me. I pulled her out from under the couch, put her down into the ground and took her bone away in response.
This was strange too, I've always worked on preventing food protection/aggression problems by taking her bones and food away from her and giving it back and making her wait...NEVER had a problem in the slightest until last night, which to me seems completely random.
Is there something about her age? A stage we have happened upon?
She's 5 and a half months...
