I asked what they did with it and got no answer....so i'm not sure. I know her mom does live here...so maybe its with her mom. | | Barked: Mon Nov 30, '09 8:37pm PST | | | | | | I would love to let them clean it..but they have already broken my kids bookshelf in my playroom and a 40.00 babygate to keep the dogs out of the playroom....so i'm not about to let them lay hands on my 200.00 steam cleaner lol!
as for the crate i talked to hubby told him told him i'm buying one tomorrow and if they are not out by the 2nd i'm taking charge of the dog. Crating it and only letting it out to go pee till they leave. but on the other hand i don't feel its fair to lock the dog in the crate 24/7...but i dont want my house ruined...
oh yeah we decided on a 6brdrm house so we could have a playroom and a guest room..now my guest room smells like dog pee....
oh and on top of it all i know they can't afford to get vet care but she wants to breed the dog also....
I put my foot down told her there is no dog breeding in my house at all! | | | | |

We wanted to wait to spay roxy till she was full grown but the low cost spay place said it's better to spay her before 6 mnts old. I thought it was better to wait...since i have no male that can do anything, ace is fixed. I will go with our original plan and wait till roxy is full grown.
I do have natures miracle under the kitchen sink. We bought a gallon of it when we moved into this house to make sure there was no urine smell when we moved in. I will steam clean with it.
I am going to speak to them when they get home this evening about us taking care of the dog for them...so it won't be such a hassle. I'm sure we could find a nice family for this little dog. | | | | |

| | Barked: Mon Nov 30, '09 4:09pm PST | | | | | | Thats what my mom told me..i'm too nice and they are taking advantage of me. Hubby said they are leaving by the 2nd..i am not holding my breath. So i think tomorrow i will run by the animal rescue on my way home from the vet and pick up one of their little doggy crates and put the dog in the kitchen w/Roxy. I am going to talk to her about rehoming the dog....maybe i can convince her to put an ad out online or something or we can offer to keep it and rehome it. It is a very sweet dog...its just that no one has ever taken the time to housetrain it at all. | | | | |

| | Barked: Mon Nov 30, '09 3:33pm PST | | | | | | Unfortuantly they are not very good dog owners...haven't even fed the dog in 3 days...i've been watching and by the evening the dog hasn't been fed so i feed it w/my 4 dogs. I didn't tell them i fed it..so they let the dog go for 3 days w/out being fed. She says she wants to get rid of the dog cause its a pain. I told her to crate the dog..she can't afford a crate and thinks it's mean, so she said she was gonna put the dog in a duffel bag tonight. They just left a few hrs ago to got our and i told them they have to take the dog w/them. Its too small to leave outside cause it gets out of my yard and we live on a busy street. I have off white carpets so i steam cleaned them w/a hot water bleach solution. I think i'm still gonna spay rox now even if it wont help. I have been so agitated and pissed off these last few day. I still can't quite understand why you have a dog if you don't feed it or care for it. I'm just not too sure of what to do in this situation. Hubby's friend says its her dog not his so he's not dealing w/it | | | | |

| | Barked: Mon Nov 30, '09 3:17pm PST | | | | | | Roxy was housetrained..no problems at all she has not been locked in her kennel at night for over 1 mnth. Then hubby decided last week to let his friend and the friends girlfriend stay w/us cause they got kicked out of their current place. The girlfriend has a little chi mix dog. It has been peeing and pooing all over...now Roxy has been peeing where it pees. We were gonna wait to spay her..but will spaying her now help any? She has not had any accidents today. I've been kenneling her at night again and when i can't watch her. And keeping all doors shut when the room isn't being used. So i'm going to the vet w/the kitten tomorrow..so will spaying her now get us back on track w/housetraining? The ppl will be out of my house by the 2nd. | | | | |

| | Barked: Mon Nov 30, '09 12:15pm PST | | | | | | we walk our dogs daily. last summer we went on vacation and spent about 8 days with my best friend on her farm in arkansas. she has 80 acres and 6 dogs. Mine had such a blast. They had no leashes or fences the whole time. We went horseback riding and the dogs went. we took them swimming in the pond. They were so wiped by the end of each day they just passed out cold! They absolutely loved it and i loved to see them in that environment. So i think if you live on a farm like that and can just let them run then walking w/a leash shouldn't be necessay | | | | |
