	We're going to get Kenai singing lessons. We took him Christmas Caroling yesterday and though he sung his little heart out he was really out of tune!!

	If you're on facebook do a search for "Oliver Alert" you can post a photo or two of the dog and they will send it out to all the fans. There is one for each state. I hope they find the dog!!

	Thanks for your opinions everyone! I used to use "sit down up" with Nikki but my husband is trying to decide what he wants to use for commands for his puppy Kenai. He likes one word for sit however when Kenai was laying down and hubby asked him to sit Kenai just looked at him like he had two heads. I would think that if you don't train them to sit from a down no matter what you name it the dog isn't going to know that means the same thing as what they know very well. Sitting from a standing position. The dog has to be very familiar with each action before they understand that "sit" means butt on the floor front in the air no matter where you start. I think puppy push ups will help a lot with his training.

	One of the first commands we teach our puppies is to sit. Almost always this is from a standing command. We tell them "sit" then encourage them to put their butt on the floor. So what exactly does the dog understand? That sit means the action of putting your butt on the floor? Or that sit means to get to that sitting position no matter what your position is at the time? When your dog is laying down and you ask them to sit that is a completely different action. They are not sitting by putting their butt on the floor but they are achieving the sit position by raising their front end up. My question is basically should the command to sit from a standing position have a different name than the request to sit from a down position since they are two different actions? Or does the dog understand that the command you are giving is not the action you want them to take but the result you want no matter what they need to do to get there?

	Mom & Dad took me to Bong Recreational Park where we went walking in the woods for an hour on Sunday. Along the way I found a stick I just had to have! Mom told me she thought I was biting off a little more than I could chew. What do you think? My Stick
