Sorry, just one other thing. I know you don't want the help but there are others who read these and want to make sure it's out there for them.

The reasons to import play a very big role in how to go about beginning this process, and I'm sorry that you can't see that. I'll leave you now on your way.

Still not quite the answer I was looking for. Aside from being picky (which many are especially if they are looking for a show, that is kind of a vague answer). What specifically has made you decide to import? What has made you decide that you can't find what you're looking for in the States?

First question would be why is it you're looking to import?

Yup, Lilith people do, for what they think is an adoption confused

Another rescue with ill intentions that has a bad track record, and reputation among the giant breed community is Gentle Giants Rescue (they are anything but a rescue). I think the more people talk about these places the better.

Here is a thread that has some more links regarding the topic of the Gentle Giants Rescue Clicky

Right in line with everyone else. On a good day I'd say I'm 5'2" smile Just over 110 and feel more than comfortable.

If it does come up I would just explain what you have here. Talk about your experience, family history with the breeds, what steps you plan to take to ensure their and your safety, and training etc...

Oh Nick, how I adore you. You have always been one of my favorites for so many reasons, and I read your diaries without fail. Your relationship together is moving and the list goes on and on.

The Carl Spackler reference though has put you over the top.hailapplause You showed your true wisdom with that onebig grin

That's why Karl the husky mix is Karl. We had to use a K because I had a cat who had already been a C.

Congrats to you and your family. Can't wait to see pics. It's great that you are able to adopt and bring an older dog into your family, even more special that she was your little one's mom. Congrats again.
