| | Barked: Fri Dec 26, '08 11:03pm PST | | | | | | Heidi has been off her poo mojo for the last couple days, what with the Great Christmas Eve Fudge Incident...but thank god it's warm again, when it was the -30 windchill I had a hard time getting her to go at all. She'd walk out, take a couple steps, and then just give me this LOOK. "Oh no. YOU go to the bathroom out here if it's that important to you."
And when I say "warm", I mean, "above freezing".  | | | | |

And the preventatives can't hurt, so far as I know, and many of them come in DELICIOUS forms....even if this vet turns out to be wrong, GSDs do sometimes have joint problems as they age, and it never hurts to be careful. I have been told that even X-rays need to be weighed carefully against the possible risks of anaesthesia and such, let alone surgery. So definitely don't rush into anything. Feeding her those is a treat for her and me both. Then she's going to try some Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul...because it was cheap at the hardware store, and I'm about to shell out a whole buncha bucks for grain free food with fish in it so she doesn't get all itchy again this winter. | | | | |
