I just looked at the EVO website.. it seems all of the foods except the new fish formula have the same amount of fiber.. the fish formula has 3% max fiber, while the other have 2.5%..

Gunner has had anal gland issues on almost all foods (besides a raw diet.) He was eating Wellness Small Breed and was scooting A LOT.. I switched to Wellness Healthy Weight (he gained a bit on the other formula), and he hasn't had any anal gland issues at all.. I think it's the higher fiber content.. does EVO have a weight management with a higher fiber you could try? You can always try adding pumpkin for extra fiber too. Just an idea smile

Sumo, I had the same problem when I read the book. While the fact part of the book is fascinating, disgusting and GREAT information to pass on to a person who is willing to learn the truth, I would point out to people that the authors personal feeding guidelines are just her OPINION.. and then point out why grains aren't so good for some dogs, and the benefits of raw meaty bones and raw feeding in general.

I also feel your pain when it comes to dog food! Gunner isn't allowed any cruddy treats, hardly gets table scraps and eats a good "all natural holistic food".. my family in law gives me a hard time sometimes.. "Gunner eats a NATURAL food he can't have THAT..." I know that they are teasing but sometimes it gets really annoying. Honestly if I had children I would feed them the best I could afford, and that's how I see my animals.. they get the best! smile

I have Gunner the Min Pin who weighs 10lbs, Evie the Italian Greyhound who weighs 10lbs and Noodle the Italian Greyhound/Whippet Mix who weighs 26lbs. They all eat Wellness Small Breed and have FLOURISHED on it! Soft, shiny coats, bright clear eyes, healthy weight (except Gunner) and small stools. Gunner actually got too fat on this food, since it's high in fat BOL he's eating Wellness Healthy Weight and doing great on it too. I'm a Wellness fan for life and I always recommend it.

Natural Balance has a limited ingredients diets in small bites, but they are circular.. hmm.. have you thought about EVO? They make a small bites formula, but I don't remember the shape of the kibble..

Forgot to add that the Natural Balance kibble is a disk shape.. not a round ball.. would she have an easier time with a disk shape kibble?

I'll post a link to the registry. The link I'm posting is the Online Breeder Reigstration. It has questions like are you a USDA breeder? What percentage of puppies to do you sell to brokers? etc etc.. that should tell you who is registering their dogs with APR.

Almost $1000.00 for APR registered dogs, right now she has about 4 different breeds that look WAY too tiny to be sold, but in the past she's had over 13 different breeds.. UGH. I feel like emailing her and asking what health testing and what bloodlines her dogs come from..
