| Barked: Sat Mar 28, '09 6:19pm PST | | | | | | I signed my girls up in the Together Tag program.
The tag has my home telephone number and the dog's name. It also contains the Together Tag website w/my own dog's special i.d. tag number. Because it has the special i.d. code, you know someone actually has your dog. Sadly, a lot of people will claim to have your dog as a joke or in an attempt to bulk you out of money, when they say they have your dog but don't. This way you can be certain someone actual has your dog because they will be able to give your the actual number. Your tag number is never to be given out for this reason. I really liked that idea.
Along with that, the local shelters in your area will be contacted through the Together Tag program when you report that your dog is missing. On your Together Tag webpage, all of your dog's information can be found there. There is a lot of space for you to write in whatever information you need on your webpage. When I say a lot of information I mean everything from a physical description to your dog's special diet, etc. There is also an optional to link your dogster page to it as well. An out of area contact name and telephone number is kept on file also in case you are not able to be notified, along with another telephone number.
Another option is you can opt into an email alert to let you know when a Together Tag member in your area is lost. It would be nice to be able to lend a hand and at least, keep an eye out when I am out and about for someone's dog. You never know when it may be your dog who is lost as hard as you try to prevent it. So it would be nice for Together Tag members to help each other out.
The lost dogs signs are just an extra little bonus. Of course I can print out my own, but if I can do it from my Together Tag site, all the better.
The tag itself looks good, and it is VERY reflective. I love seeing my girls with their Together Tags. The printing is very legible, too. Of course, I would've loved for them to come in different colors, but I guess you can't have everything. I was quite impressed with the tags overall. I'm glad I signed my girls up for the program, too.
I've been sick, so sorry if my explanation is a bit jumbled. Feel free to pawmail me if something is confusing or if you have any questions.

| Barked: Sat Nov 22, '08 11:12pm PST | | | | | | I bought a dog/cat stroller for our cat; it cost $100 dollars including shipping. Originally, I was hoping for the cat to share the stroller with our dogs, but the cat monopolized the stroller. He is obsessed with it.
I think it is great for dogs to walk, too, but for certain situations, strollers and carriers come in handy for cats & dogs.
I've seen strollers for less than $85, but the quality isn't always as good as the more expensive strollers. The site that I bought my pet stroller from was justpetstrollers.com. They have quite a bit of information on their site about pet strollers, too. You might want to check it out.
