Others...please correct me respectfully, if I'm wrong.... wink

We don't buy the white rawhide as there's more chances that it's bleached. Also rawhide with knobs at the end, tend to get chomped off pretty easy and they're the type that can get broken off really easy if you have any concerns of your dog swallowing.

We only buy the pressed rawhide. It's more of a natural looking, honey colored and generally (at least not around here) not twisted into different shapes, with knots (or rolled)....just different sized bones for different sized dogs.

Still Mollie get's RMB's and has her kongs and nylabone and an old bone of some variety that's been around forever. Sometimes she still needs that good chew of a Rawhide. Yeah, it's gross but she's raided the trash more than once and it hasn't killed her yet, so I won't worry much about the bacteria on the rawhide, lol (no sarcasm intended there, Jessica). I used to worry about things like that but really....when I put it in perspective...I'll worry about the bigger things.

Peabody...

I just want to add one more thing. A red flag went up for me when you said he started lurking around more when you & your boyfriend split up.

As others have already said keep your apt locked, never leave Peabody unattended, etc. But...also keep the phone near your bed at night and have 911 on speed dial as well as someone else who is close and could be called in an emergency.

Not knowing what this guy is dealing with (other than it's definitely not a full deck), I'm concerned about your safety as well.

And document everything. I can't count the number of times I've told women "documentation, documentation, documentation". If he escalates to the point that you have to go to the police, the more evidence that you have in the way of documentation, the easier it makes their job in keeping you safe.

Is this guy an adult?? thinking

If so his behaviour sounds like he has some mental health issues....or he's rabid confused

It really is probably a good idea if you and Peabody keep a good distance from him and not let him in your house again. If he can turn that quickly on you verbally, what would it take for him to become violent?

Quote: Bailee doesn't have a fenced yard but even if she did she wouldn't be out there without us

It's funny because after anxiously awaiting the privately owned dog park to open just up the road from us, it took less than a week of Mollie and I going there for me to look at this place as nothing more than a big fenced in back yard with too many rules.

I let Mollie release more energy inside our house then the dogs are allowed outside at that place.

We also don't have a fenced in back yard but I know for Mollie, it would be the same scenario. She would have no interest of being outside without us, unless it was just to do her business and come back in. She sticks to me like velcro.

ewww....now the cow manure one is just sad. Hubby is at the age where his hair is thinning out or as I like to say "he has a hole in his haircut" and he's so self-conscious of it all the time.

I guess it's like women and their grey hair & wrinkles.

Too bad humans can't just be happy with the way they are shrug

Stupid people!!! frown

And what's sad is the young woman will most likely (going by what I've read and life experiences) stick with this guy and not realize until it's too late that what he did to this poor defenseless pup, he will also do to her and any children they may have together.

And he'll get a slap on the wrist because the laws aren't tough enough for animal cruelty frown

Gir...as much as your gasoline story made me cringe for the poor dog, I have to admit, I too also had laugh because I knew a man (a grown man....mid-40's) who did this for his poison ivy. He also tried Lysol eek

It's amazing he has any skin left, tho I can't speak for brain cells laugh out loud
