I have a couple containers. The main one is one of those single plastic "drawers" for storage under a bed. I fit most of the stuff in it. Then I have 2 smaller tupperware containers for extra stuff that I dont use as much.

La Quinta is great! Stayed there on our move back north because the dogs were allowed without charge.

Good luck and stay safe. We just moved away from the Gulf Coast. Such a relief to not deal with that anymore. Heck, I didnt even know a hurricane was coming to the US! Keep us updated.

The bending has been a problem for me because if I kneel to be on Kasper's level, he wants to get close to me/sit on me. It interferes with him learning 'stay.' But if I'm not his level, he wont always listen.

Choosing the Right Dog > Afghan Hounds...?

I dont think they are suited for what you want...in general. I used to be friends with someone who showed Afghans (had three of her own). She used a younger male for the obedience class she taught and lent him to 4H kids to compete. He was kept in a puppy coat as well but was actually pretty apt to working with the kids. Not exactly a hang-on-your-words Golden, but he worked none the less.

I'd suggest you spend some more time around them in person to get a feel for it. Maybe it wont be your agility dog but maybe you'd fall in love with them for other reasons!

For some reason, it seems the SpotMyDog website is out of commission. However, this is from them: clicky!

I have a leash from them and it is very durable/waterproof. And purely reflective!

Food & Nutrition > Do weight loss formulas really help?

I dont know...I dont think they would do that much. When Rudy lived with my parents, he got overweight and the vet 'prescribed' science diet weight loss (or whatever it's called). She bluntly told them it was mostly grains that would not be digested so he'd poo it all out - making him lose weight even though he'd feel full.

uhh yeah. I put a stop to that. I chose a food I was comfortable with (Taste of the Wild at the time) and just gave him the caloric intake he needed for the desired weight. This plus more exercise, he lost 25lbs over the past 2 years. You can also supplement treats in there that dont have lots of calories (or veggies).

shrug worked for me.

Behavior & Training > Do you walk your dog(s) after dark?

I used to, especially when I worked til 10.30pm. But now...no. I'm just more paranoid since I've realized more crime that happens around here. I do have mace but with two dogs and being a small gal, I'm not sure how easily I could effectively use it.

Also have a very hard time seeing in the dark and many of our parking lot lights never turn on. So basically...hells no!

When I move back to a rural area I will.

Rudy's go up when he's on the defensive but that is rare. When he is super super wound up and playing inside with his 'brother,' his shoulder and butt hackles go up!

I would attribute Mulder's to nerves since he was not aggressive about the meeting. But I'm no expert!
