I would suggest maybe feeding full raw (less pricey) or Kirkland at Costco. Treat quality and pretty cheap ( about $15 for a big bag)

I can't wait! Love the books, not my favorite books but up there with some, and New Moon is one of my favs. of the series.

I didn't thik the first movie was terrible, not the best movie I have ever seen, but I think they did a OK job but I do think New Moon looks 10x better.

I am team Edward for sure, but I just don't think Rob Pat is that good looking personally. Actually I did think he was a little cute when I watched the movie but that was only when he was playing Edward. I also think Jacob was pretty annoying in the books. He was OK in the first and not bad in the beggining of New Moon but in the 3rd & especially the 4th book he bothered me sooooooooo much! But I am madly in love with Taylor Lautner and some day we are going to meet, yeah you know because he comes to Kansas all the time!, and he is going to realize we are soul mates and he is going to ask me to marry him and we are going to live happily ever after. The end. Yeah be jealousbig laughlaugh out loudbig laughbig laugh

Why run when you- can hop??!!

Ok I have been meaning to post a thread like this for a while. I have recently become addicted to petfinder.com well actually that has been there for a while but I have now gotten the terrible habbit of looking at kill shelters in my areanaughtyeven though I should know better. I volunteer at a non-kill shelter (couldn't handle a kill shelter I would end up with 50 dogs & cats lol).
Ok down to the point. I know this probably wont work but what I want to try & do is focus on one or two kill shelters for a while & post a few dogs (1-3) every other day (my schedule is weird so I have no idea when I will be) in a hope of reaching out & being able to help a few. Wether that means finding a adoptive home via dogster or a foster home, transport or another rescue group that can rescue the dog before it is put down. If this works I plan on switching after a while & possibly focusing on two other kill shelters in a different state.

Well lets start, here are the first
Escargot- A male miniature poodle (black) adult. Very cute but looks like he is in need of a haircut. He is doing badly in the shelter enviroment & his time is running out!
Dolly-Airdale Terrier/Lab mix. Adorable! Very smart and eager to please, well behaved and loving I totally fell in love with this dog please someone help save her!
09-2180 (labby girl)-Female, adult large yellow lab. Very pretty! And look at those eyes....

Choosing the Right Dog > any suggestions for a breed?

First breed that popped into my mind was a Beaucron. Great breed!!
I would also suggest looking at shelters. They always have a lot of big dogs that would work out really well.

Wow. That is horrible cry I am atleast happy her oldest son turned his monster of a mother in.
Oh and if a crazy mad person ever did something like that to one my fur babies! Oh god. Iam not a violent person & am normally very accepting & friendly but you mess with the animals (especially mine) their will be hell to pay silencedThat's all I gotta say.

I agree with all of you. Any dog has the potential to bite, & no matter what kind of dog it is a bite is a bite & it hurts.

I am lucky an have only been bitten a few times. When we first got Murphy & he had some behavior problems I got bit a twice. Once on the hand when I was stupid & tried to take a chew bone away from himnaughty. The second time I leaned over my bed to grab something & Murphy bit me on the face. It was a small bite but I was freaked out with all the blood that followed.

I have also been bitten by:
A GSD mix-My neighbors old dog who loved kids, but hated her neck hugged. I didn't know this & gave her a hug & got bit on the nose. I still love the breed though.
A beagle- My first day of volunteering at the animal shelter I do now. The shelter manager was introducing me to the fearful dog who had bitten before & Scrappy thought I got to close to "his" cat & bit me on the arm. Again still love beaglies.
A doxie/min pin mix- Another shelter pup. We had been told he was fine with kids but when I was showing him to a family w/ a 7 year old he lunged at the girl so I pulled him back & he chomped my hand. He broke the skin but it wasn't bad at all. The dog was a nut but I loved him.
And the most recent bite was yesterday when I had a dog agressive terrier out on lead & a dog agressive pointer mix was got out of his room. I held on to the terrier's collar & tried to pull him back but the pointer got him & before I could get my hand away he put three very "nice" deep painful puncture wounds in my right hand. Lucky I didn't need stiches or anything & both dogs where fine. And once again I still love these dogs!!

I guess you see my point wink And out of all the dog bites I listed the GSD mix did the least damage & hardly even got my nose at all. The pointer did the most damage but I don't blaim him at all because he was in fight mode & probably didn't even know my hand was there. As you can see no pitties had any part in these bites!! The only thing my shelter pittie babies ever seem to do "wrong" is lick all of my make up off & make my face red with all the kisseslaugh out loud
