Rocky, we are sorry to hear that you and Sarge are both not feeling well. You know we have been down the same road with Ringo, Niko, Cali and now Levi....we dogs just don't live long enough. We do hope you are both feeling better
Flicka, the candle is beautiful! We need to get the Buh-ens tree picture on our Posse page.
Jenna, 10 inches of snow! Our part of WA would come to a standstill with half of that, but we know you guys are better prepared.

We'll have to experiment with the cake cookies. You're right, they do taste homemade, but a lot easier.
Flicka, thank you for the link and the candles. I think the Musher's Secret gets rubbed all the way in and improves the pads over time, but we haven't used it. Just heard good things about it. I guess it helps keep pads from getting burned in summer, too.
S&S, we love getting good deals- usually it's on dog stuff on eBay It is nice to have a warm furry hood. We don't have much cold weather stuff here because it USUALLY doesn't get very cold...

Dixie, I've read that the stuff called Musher's Secret is wonderful to protect paws from ice. Mama just may need to get some for Roper and Tonka when they go herding in the cold pastures, but we haven't ever used it.
Hope Burt's dental goes well! I've had a lot of dentals, but mama says I'm not having them done any more. It is harder for me to come out of anesthesia each time.
Hope the weather improves for everyone. We're supposed to get a teeny bit warmer and get a mix of rain and snow over the weekend.

I feed the slowest eaters first and they all wait their turn and know the feeding "order". Everyone is done within a minute or two- no time for grazing around here! LOVE the pics of Dixie and Burt with the pink tree. Saw a pink one and a purple one at WalMart today- one of those is on mama's day after Christmas shopping list
I went for a loooong walk on the logging trails today with a bunch of whippersnappers- Tonka, Coco and our pals Chase and Noah. 3 Aussies, a Chihuahua and me and I kept up very well! Then I took a looooong nap

Scooter, it is good to see you! Mama was such a worry wort with me about slippery surfaces, but it's been almost 3 1/2 years and I'm doing okay.Well, mama doesn't like ice much herself...
It was super cold here yesterday- 19 degrees is FRIGID for this part of WA. Seems we're having lots of extremes this year, but it's supposed to be a very dry winter

We wanted to show you our picture from yesterday. The whole family is going to get one taken at the humane society today. Well, the whole human family plus Levi, Tonka and Gypsy. I'm done with photos- that one yesterday really stressed me out.
Rocky, we also are so happy to hear how Sarge is glad to have a live-in buddy. I complain about Levi, but I was a sad boy before I got to this many dog house!
Yes, daddy was in Hawaii AGAIN and got back late Friday. He'll be home at night for a while now.
Hope it doesn't get too cold and windy there, Flicka. We like our usually mild climate. In the 40's and no precip. predicted for at least 4 days | | | | |
