My boy dog was one that gained exactly 10lbs per month. My girl, she was a little slower as she was a skinny little thing when we got her. She more than made up for that now as she is on a diet, but she is a petite one compared to the boy and a good weight for her is 110-115lbs.

Ogre is sooooo adorable!! We used crate training for Agador and Magda, however Magda thought she was the tasmanian devil in her crate. I think playing with them where it doesnt involve jumping on to sofas and things will help.

Hi Hera,
Its probably not the best thing for her little bones. I would watch her jumping on and off the bed like that. I had our dogs lear how to use an ottoman to get on and off the bed (our bed is kinda high) and they love it. Puppies are so full of energy, they are like little tasmanian devils, lol

We restricted both of our pups rambunctiosness (not an easy task). It was actually easier with Agador. When he was a pup his exercise was the house and roaming around the yarf and puppy classes. As he got older like 8months his walks were very short (mainly cause he would lay down in the middle of the walk! BOL!). After 1 year of age his walks were longer but more casual and when he stopped then we knew it was time to go home. Magda was a different girl - she got her exercise doing tasmanian devil tricks in her crate then she would run like the wind on and off the sofa - not a good move on her part. She ended up breaking the tiny little bone on the tip of her elbow requiring surgery.
So definitely dont let him jump off of furniture (if you can) and if he is doing okay with the walks you take him on then I think he should be okay (just watch where he rund on your walks!) smile

Hey Lola girl!
We have had the same problem when ours were pups. We bought some cheap wire fencing from Home Depot and put it around the areas we did not want them to go. It worked. You also want to make sure you dont have anything in your yard that is potentially harmful to them. There are lots of poisonous plants out there. I dont have a link but you can google it.

Thanks Dee,

We have been working with the dog walker to curb this problem. She has changed her walking style, and making the walks mor purposeful. That, a different type of chew bone with some PB and her getting older i think has helped tremendously. It has been a long time now and she hasnt chewed a thing! I am hoping age 3 will be the magic number! Agador slowed down at age 2 and completely stopped before age 3, so I am keeping fingers crossed!
